| Ethio Telecom conducts Customers’ Day
Addis Ababa, November 21 (WIC) – Ethio Telecom conducted a second Enterprise Customers’ Day at Hilton Addis on November 16, 2011 with a view to exchanging ideas of common concerns to build strong working relations with the company’s enterprise customers.
Jean-Michel Latute, CEO of Ethio Telecom said while opening the event that the company is exerting utmost efforts to realize its vision of availing a world-class service provision of telecommunications on equitable basis in Ethiopia by aligning its services to the needs of its customers.
“The high demand of the enterprise’s customers for intensive telecom services ranging from fixed wire line to high capacity broad band internet services, necessitates special customer support services or help desks with competent staff capable of meeting such ever increasing service demands in the country and to bring about customer satisfaction as much as possible,” he said.
According to Latute, aligning its services to the needs of its customers by ensuring the service provisioning and managing the huge NGN (Next Generation Network) technology by optimizing the network to ensure better service, are the major transformational tasks of Ethio Telecom.
The CEO expressed his belief that the enterprise’s customers have been benefiting from the business center launched around Churchill road with the main objective of enabling enterprise customers get access to all rounded services at one stop service center.
Ethio Telecom has deployed dedicated special help desks or divisions such as Enterprise Division and Customer Services Division that would manage all enterprise related services and would strive to improve customer satisfaction by progressively optimizing the quality of service, he said.
Ethio Telecom would embark upon continuously assessing and following up the service demands of the customers so as to exert a maximum effort to meet the identified service demands, he noted.
According to the CEO, the implementation on new tariffs and product packages is also believed to benefit all income groups of the society including enterprise customers, he added.
Latute called upon all stakeholders including the enterprise customers to develop a sense of ownership to ensure the protection of telecom infrastructure by joining Ethio Telecom to curb the existing problem related to the optical fiber cable damage that would affect all stakeholders.
On the occasion, the CEO also informed the participants about the launching of Mobile Business Bundle, designed for enterprise customers that allow them to enjoy a bundle of voice, text and data for a fixed amount of payment every month as well as to make use of this offer for their telephone allowance.
“This offer helps to make and receive telephone calls to and from the mobiles and fixed line telephones across the world,” he said.
Ethio Telecom has also recently enhanced other products and service offers such as Machine to Machine, Bulk SMS and Short Code Premium, in signing partnership with content providers.
A series of presentation were made by the concerned Ethio Telecom’s chief officers consecutively on the company’s achievement, plan as well as new product and service, network expansion, reliability, quality of service, service level agreement, customer service and call center.
Participants of the event estimated to a total of 350, were drawn from various enterprise market segments most of whom were composed of big companies, government organizations, embassies and cooperatives. |
